Position:                                              Part-Time Field Technician

Immediate Supervisor:                      General Manager

The Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District (GCUWCD) is seeking to hire a part-time Field Technician responsible for assisting with well registrations, well mitigation, measuring water levels, collecting water samples, and other field related activities.    

 Requisite Skills/Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work courteously and professionally with well owners and co-workers
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be mechanically inclined with experience operating and troubleshooting tools and equipment
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read maps
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Work Hours/Compensation

The Field Technician must be able to work at least two to three days per week during normal business hours from 8:00 – 5:00 Monday through Friday.  The Field Technician position is paid at a salaried rate not to exceed $25,000 per year.
